In the past you may have been bombarded with pop ups or spam mail where hackers try to trick you into thinking you have a virus so they can download spyware, malware and other vicious software to your computer.
I received this message via skype of all places. I don't think Microsoft needs to send me messages through skype, do you? Read this for a good laugh...if you don't think it's funny maybe I should give you a little more information about why it is so ridiculous.
Don't ever click a link or anything when you see something questionable in your email or other communication portal. Microsoft will contact you through your account or a pop up window from your update application on your computer. If you don't have it activated, you can chose to receive automatic updates. If there is a major update they will let you know that way. Other common scams will try to appeal to your concern for privacy, your bank accounts and even career search.
Over the years I have collected some interesting and amusing examples. Stay tuned for more about this subject from The Social Entrepreneur in 2010.
Helping you work smarter,

I was only half paying attention to The Colbert Report, you never know if he is joking or serious. So he told a joke about pseudo charitable acts that are really only done because of the good PR. Then he went into talking about his old stage set and how he was auctioning off a piece of "histor-me." You can buy his table and it comes with a notarized list of all the celebrities he's interviewed sitting there. When he said the proceeds would benefit Haiti I knew he was not joiking anymore.
So here is another way you can support Haiti. Some people say you should give this way or that way; if we are all focusing our energy and resources on Haiti there will be healing and rebuilding which is all humanity can ask for after a natural disaster.

I received a letter from the William J. Clinton Foundation outlining what they are doing to help the people of Haiti through this terrible tragedy. I have seen many discussions and posts throughout social media sites of people asking what they could do to help. I know it is difficult to know who to trust when it comes to supporting non profit organizations. When you only have a few dollars to donate you want to make sure that they are used wisely and reach yor desired cause. I have been following the Clinton Foundation for over a year and they are focused on true service and having a global impact.
You can click on the link below to see the letter and find out how you can help. If you don't have the time or money to donate the best thing you can do is keep the people who have been affected in your thoughts and share the message that there is a need.
Please tweet, share, link to and forward this page to any and everyone who wants to make a difference in Haiti but doesn't know how.
If you are concerned about loved ones or would like to help someone else locate a missing person in Haiti, click or copy this link into your browser: http://haiti.ushahidi.com.
Sometimes it is hard to imagine the devastation experienced by others when it is so far from home. Here is a CNN video with Wolf Blitzer interviewing an American living in Haiti and his account of the earthquake and aftermath: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/world/2010/01/13/intv.ansel.haiti.earthquake.cnn; You will also be able to see a video of Bill Clinton explaining what is going on and what is being done by the UN.
As always The Social Entrepreneur will keep you informed about how you can help improve communities, businesses and lifestyles one solution at a time.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything but why do I need protection from having my private information transmitted via radio? This could pose a problem if consumers are not well informed of the risk. Can the consumer at least get the option of not having the radio chip in the credit card? Or maybe consumer's could have been informed before this process was implemented and given the security holder for free. Oh, wait the notice was probably in the brochure that the bank sends every quarter with updates about their service, credit card and some useless product or service. You did read the fine print didn’t you? But it's not just credit cards, you could be exposed via your government id, work id or passport as well.
Click on the link below to see what I am ranting about. It's a shame that I had to see this in a random banner ad. No, I'm not promoting this company but I had to reference where I got the information...and at least they are offering a solution. I try to pay attention to what's going on in the world. I know I'm not a banker anymore but I can't help asking, "how did I miss this?" Am I just out of the loop; or is it a big secret. I would love to know if my readers have already heard about this. Maybe we've been too consumed with who died this year; sex scandals; war; national health care issues; and overcoming a recession, that this one slipped by unnoticed. Speaking of recession...is this really the best time to be doing this? I did do a little research and it seems that the technology is the little gold emblem that has begun to appear on id badges and etc. Maybe you have seen it, I know I have but I had no idea that it was transmitting information via radio waves. Please feel free to share your thoughts or insight on the technology and solutions.
All I can say is "what the duce?"

Success Comes When You can Take a Punch! (I mean Coaching) I had a conference call (actually several) with Adrian Ulsh last weekend. Adrian is the VP of One Coach, the organization headed by John Assaraf.. I asked Adrian for some help on my website at www.theinternetbroadcaster.com. I solicited his help because he is the marketing expert beside John and who better to get advice from than him on marketing and website presentation?Let me just tell you that the website that I had is nothing like the one that I am proud to say that I have now. Adrian looked at my before site and simply ripped it apart. He told me in no uncertain terms that the website that I had before was a bunch of CRAP! Now I could have gotten defensive and lashed out at him, but I didn’t. You know why? Before I go there let me say that as a coach myself I am asked for help on a daily basis by people that come to me for assistance with projects, business ventures, and talk shows. I know, almost instantly, who will wind up being successful and who will not. How do I know this? I know this because after being a successful Entrepreneur with clients like Harley Davidson, Kraft Foods, Home Land Security, and many others, I know a person that is honestly looking to make a change in their business and life style.Back to Adrian and my CRAPPY website. Adrian pulled no punches with me and actually apologized for being so blunt. I immediately told him something that many entrepreneurs NEED to adapt. I told him;“Adrian, I am not here to get my ego stroked or told how great I am, I am here to get it right because you are the expert, I am not. My feelings are irrelevant; I WANT you to tell me how to succeed at this marketing thing!”I have noticed that many people get offended when they have to be coached. A serious entrepreneur knows what their limitations are and they seek out experts to help them. Excuse my French, but how in the HELL can you get offended when you to someone for help, they try and help you, but you don’t like something as ridiculous as a tone, or a look. When Adrian explained to me what I needed to do, I did not argue or complain about his tone or lack of social graces. I simply was grateful that this MILLIONAIRE took out the time to even help me. You see it was not my time to talk; it was my time to listen, learn, and change! Many people can not be helped because they simply are not ready for that level of coaching. The level of coaching that I receive from John Assarafs’ team is not fluffy and pretty. It is down and dirty and gets results. Your level of success will directly relate to the type of coach you get.If you are not where you want to be, maybe it is time to listen and learn from someone that truly has the answers and is willing to give them to you. Not someone that tries to mix in sugar so you don’t taste the medicine.A true coach tells you the truth even when it will hurt your feelings. They don’t soften the blow. They knock you out with it so you learn never to make that mistake again. This is only because they are committed to your success, not your ego!-Earl Hallwww.earlhall.net
